Monticello – Mrs. Mabel Claire Tevis, 73, 123 North Railroad Stre

et died Saturday noon at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Fred Meeker, 433 North Illinois street. She had been staying there during her illness of the last 8 months. Born in Carpentersville, she had lived here for the past 50 years. She was married to Marion Tevis who preceded her in death.  She was a member Monticello Methodist Church. Surviving are the daughter, Mrs. Meeker; one sister, Mrs. Mate Blaydes of Ladoga; and two brothers, Hans Anderson of Greencastle and August Anderson of Sarasota, Fla. - kbz
